The device consists of a tank (10) in which sits a container (12). A fuel pump (14) sucks fuel out of the container and pumps it to the engine (18). A line connector (26) links the pressure side of the pump to a second pump (30) via a control valve (24). The function of the second pump is to fill the inner container with fuel. Built into the control valve is a spring loaded slide valve (shown but not numbered) that is directly linked to the line connector. The slide valve is arranged in the pressure side connection (16) of the fuel pump and is open in the feeding direction towards the engine. The control valve has at least one through-let within the connection for the pressure side of the pump. The slide valve also has at least one through-let.
