PURPOSE:To provide a compsn. quickening a heat-curing time to enhance productivity, preventing the lowering of breaking strength caused by copper injury and enhancing durability to a large extent while keeping aesthetic appearance in a transmission belt composed of a thermosetting polyurethane elastomer. CONSTITUTION:A urethane elastomer compsn. for a transmission belt is prepared by heating and curing a compd. consisting of 100 pts.wt. of a liquid urethane prepolymer consisting of a glycol compd. and a diisocyante compd., a proper amt. of at least one kind of a diamine compd. as a curing agent, 0.05-5 pts.wt. of an org. carboxylic acid compd. accelerating curing, a proper amt. of a plasticizer improving processability and 0.1-10 pts.wt. of a phenolic or non- contamination amine type ageing inhibitor or a mixed ageing inhibitor. |
