PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin sheet or film having desired thickness and good appearance in terms of gloss and surface smoothness by a method in which the sheet or film held between a cast drum and a metal endless belt is transferred on the belt after its thickness being regulated to some extent and cooled by the air during the transfer. CONSTITUTION:A molten thermoplastic resin M film, which is extruded from a T-die 15 on a slanted running part 14 of a corrosion resistant metal endless belt 13, is supplied on the belt 13 at a position in front of a metal roller 12, located close to the T-die, of a group of metal rollers 10, 11, 12 and pressed between a cast drum 16 installed outside the belt 13 and the belt 13. The thermoplastic resin layer thus formed is cooled on the belt 13 running on the roller 12 to make a sheet with desired thickness. |
