PURPOSE:To surely keep the joining quality for a long time, and to facilitate the automation by connecting the wire to a material to be joined through simultaneous irradiation of a plurality of laser beams thereon. CONSTITUTION:A wire 1 arranged to the prescribed position on a terminal 2a is irradiated with the desired laser beam LB to be generated by a YAG laser beam generating device for the prescribed period of time to weld the wire 1 to the terminal 2a to be connected. Irradiation of the laser beam LB is realzied so that the laser beam may be approximately symmetrical across the longitudinal direction of the wire 1, and the angles of irradiation to the perpendicular line 3 may be the respectively prescribed value. This constitution allows the wire 1 and the terminal 2a to be simultaneously subjected to the thermal energy and the total heat is smoothly and uniformly transmitted in a short time to form an excellent welded condition. |
