PURPOSE:To obtain the excellent separation resistance performance of a tread part by forming a number of lataeral grooves which cross in the width direction and are opened at both the shoulder parts, in equal pitch arrangement over the whole periphery of the tread surface and specifying the lateral groove depth, lateral groove width, etc. CONSTITUTION:On the tread part 4 of a pneumatic tire, a number of lateral grooves Gt opened at both the shoulder parts 4s are formed in the distribution in the equal pitch arrangement over the whole periphery of the tread surface 4t, on the tread surface 4t side of the tread rubber. The arrangement pitch (p) of the lateral groove Gt is set in correspondence with the arrangement pitch (p) of a number of pojection bodies 11 arranged inside a crawler belt 10, and the projection body 11 is fitted in succession in each lateral groove Gt. Further, the depth H of the lateral groove Gt is set within a range in 0.6-0.8 times of the height (h) of the fitted part 11t of the projection bpdy 11, and the width W of the lateral groove Gt is set within a range of 1.05-1.30 times of the width (w) of the fitted part 11t of the projection body 11. Accordingly, the local large deformation of ths tread part 1 is suppressed by forming such the lateral groove Gt on the tread of the tire 1. |
