The invention relates to a process for producing hollow panels and other construction elements, preferably by the slip form process, the material being introduced under pressure by means of a conveying device into a shaping cavity which is defined by a mould base, by lateral parts and by an upper delimitation, and is distinguished in that, in order to obtain compaction of the material, the latter is set into intermittent reciprocating movement in the flow direction, in particular the material is compressed transversely to its flow direction in the region of its reciprocating movement.
