PURPOSE:To attain the detection and correction of the lateral dislocation of paper to be conveyed with high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a reading means which reads paper to be conveyed, a paper end detecting means 8 which detects the end of paper from the data read by the reading means, a paper end determining means 9 which determines reference position data and measured position data from the data of paper end for each of prescribed multiple lines detected by the paper end detecting means 8, and a paper dislocation detecting means 10 which detects the amount and direction of the dislocation of paper from the reference position data and measured position data determined by the paper end determining means 9. It corrects the dislocation of paper by controlling a correction mechanism with a control means 12 according to the results detected by the paper dislocation detecting means 10. |
