PURPOSE: To detect a plurality of suitable parameters and to clarify an appertaining process by measuring temperatures at least two points on the rear side of a welding region at the time of laser butt welding of a sheet. CONSTITUTION: At the time of laser butt welding of a sheet, at least two points of temperatures on the rear side of welding region is measured with a pyrometer. Each of the signals of a pyrometer is evaluated by a signal evaluation device, correlation to specific value of a process is formed, and quality control is executed through the clarification of the process. For this purpose, it is profitable to let a rapid pyrometer point at each of the prescribed points on both sides of a joining line positioned directly behind a liquid-solid interface of the fusion welding part. Each of the measuring points has normally an area of about 1 mm<2> . The signals from respective pyrometers are related to each other through electronic signal processing. By this means, defects caused by welding part itself are detected. |
