PURPOSE: To simultaneously execute welding of a plurality of ends of electrical conductors with a single anvil by disposing an anvil so that its longitudinal axis may be coaxial with the longitudinal axis of a sonotrode and changing the cross-section of compaction spaces according to the rotation of the anvil. CONSTITUTION: In an ultrasonic welding equipment, the longitudinal axis of an anvil 4 is disposed coaxially with the longitudinal axis of its sonotrode 2. Various dimensions are taken by the distance and depth between the side face of projects 11-14 of the sonotrode 2 and the side face of grooves related to recessed parts 7-10 of the anvil 4. A handle bar 27 of an operation element turns above a case 1. The anvil 4 rotates supported by a rolling contact bearing 5. In the case that an end of an electrical conductor fits in with at least one of compaction spaces 17-20, before an operating arm of the handle bar 27 comes to its terminal of action on a switch owing to action on ultrasonic operation, a loading arm is given a preliminary stress. When the anvil 4 turns by a further small angle, the ends of electrical conductors compacted during the supersonic welding are further more tightly compacted. |
