<p>PURPOSE:To be applicable to all types of cars without changing the relations which correspond to to the angle of illumination, and in the same system- composition, and positively ensure the field of sight in the direction of travel even when the car speed is low. CONSTITUTION:The angular speed omeganew at the time when a car travels on a curved road, is calculated based on output from an angular speed sensor (step 101). The car speed is measured based on the distance pulse from a distance sensor (step 102). The angular speed omeganew is divided by the car speed (v) to calculate the reciprocal of the turning radius (r), and a target value thetas of the angle of illumination is determined by multiplying the reciprocal of the turning radius (r) by a constant K (step 110). When the car speed is 10m/h or less, 10m/h is regarded as a detected car speed (v) (step 105), and the target value theta is determined by the angular speed omeganew at the time and 10m/h.</p> |
