PURPOSE:To recover a liquid containing alcohol in high concentration from a fermentation waste liquid such as distillation waste liquid of SHOCHU (low- class distilled spirits) at reduced fuel cost by distilling a fermentation waste liquid and separating the distillate into a concentrated ethanol liquid and an ethanol-free liquid by an osmotic vaporization membrane method. CONSTITUTION:A fermentation waste liquid 10 is distilled with a distillation apparatus 1, the distillation residue 14 is incinerated by an incinerator 8 and the generated steam 17 is used as a heat source for distillation. The distillate 11 is separated into a concentrated ethanol liquid 13 and an ethanol-free liquid 12 by a PV separator 2 and the latter liquid is treated with an activated sludge treating apparatus 3, etc. The fermentation waste liquid to be used in this process has an ethanol content of >=0.05wt.%, COD and BOD originated from organic matters of >=5,000ppm and a suspended solid content of >=1,000ppm. |
