CULTURE OF VASCULAR ENDOTHELIAL CELL AND CULTURE MEDIUM THEREFOR

PURPOSE:To reduce the amount of serum component in a culture medium by culturing vascular endothelial cells in a culture tank filled with a culture medium containing insulin and transferrin and making it unnecessary to cover the activity of cell adhesion to the culture tank. CONSTITUTION:Vascular endothelial cells are cultured in a culture tank filled with a culture medium containing insulin and transferrin and having a low-level serum content of 0.1 to 1.0wt.%. This method enkbles culture of human-derived vascular endothelial cells and also improves growth of the cells.
