PURPOSE:To provide a refractory for casting application excellent in corrosion resistance and slag permeability resistance. CONSTITUTION:The refractory for casting application consists of 50-80wt.% alumina raw material, 10-40wt.% Al2O3.MgO-based spinel raw material, 0.5-10wt.% magnesia raw material having 10-100mum average particle size and coated with magnesium hydroxide on the surface and a binder.
