<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject medium containing insulin and/or a high-density lipoprotein and capable of culturing a vascular endothelial cell of an animal, especially human under serum-free conditions. CONSTITUTION:This serum-free medium does not contain serum and contains insulin and/or a high-density lipoprotein (HDL) as an additive. A cell can be maintained under serum-free conditions even in a culture vessel which is not subjected to coating treatment with a cell-adherent protein, etc., by including both of insulin and HDL in the serum-free medium.</p> |
