PURPOSE:To develop the display of the variable display game of a pachinko game machine capable of being distinguished from other kinds within a short time at a low cost. CONSTITUTION:This device is a special pattern display device (image display device for game machine) 10 for displaying a special pattern according to the signal from a role circuit 12 in a pachinko game machine 1. This device 10 has a LCD 12 and a video signal output part 14 for displaying an image on the LCD 12. The video signal output part 14 has a memory part 16 in which a compressed animation is stored, and a decoder 17 for extending the compressed animation. The decoder 17 can perform regeneration and a specific regeneration such as quick regeneration or temporary stop regeneration for an optional part of the compressed animation. The regeneration and specific regeneration are conducted in the decoder 17, whereby the high speed scroll, low speed scroll and stop of a special pattern can easily be displayed. |
