<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a plastic container excellent in environmental characteristics, impact resistance, rigidity, dimensional stability, molding processability and gloss, by incorporating a blended resin containing a specific modified polyethylene terephthalate resin with a resin with a specific glass transition temperature. CONSTITUTION:This plastic container can be obtained by incorporating a total of 100 pts.wt. of a blend resin composed of (A) a modified polyethylene terephthalate resin >=50 deg.C in glass transition temperature and >=0.5dl/g in the intrinsic viscosity determined at 25 deg.C in a phenol/tetrachloroethane mixed solvent (at the weight ratio of (6:4)) modified to an extent of 3-100mol% based on a total of 200mol% of 100 mol% of dicarboxylic acid component and 100mol% of diol component respectively making up polyethylene terephthalate and (B) a polyarylate resin at the weight ratio A/B of (99:1) to (50:50) with (C) 1-30 pts.wt. of a resin <=0 deg.C in glass transition temperature. It is preferable that the component A be modified with a diol of formula I [X is C2H4, of formula II (Y and Z are each H or a 1-3C alkyl), O or SO2; a is 0 or 1; m and n are each 1-5].</p> |
