PURPOSE:To enhance the accuracy of the wall thickness of a pre-molded surface layer by forming the pre-molded surface layer in a first cavity formed by a plurality of mold split members among three ones and removing or replacing a part of the mold split members and molding a hollow structure in a second cavity holding the pre-molded surface layer therein. CONSTITUTION:For example, a mold 10 for a car bamper is constituted of first, second and third mold split members 11a, 11b, 11c and the first molded split member 11a becomes a female mold equipped with the air suction mechanism 12 provided in a slide core 13a. The second mold split member 11b constitutes a first mold having a first cavity molding a pre-molded surface layer, that is, a facer part along with the first mold split member 11a and slide cores 14, 15 are provided. Thereafter, the third mold split mold 11c is replaced with the second mold split member 11b to be used as the mold half body of a male mold and a second mold having a second cavity for a hollow structure, that is, a bamper main body part is constituted and a slide core 17 is provided. |
