PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal discoloring compsn. having characteristics showing a bright high density hue having fluorescent properties such as yellow, yellowish orange, orange, reddish orange or red at the time of color development and changing the hue to a colorless state at the time of erasure without leaving a color CONSTITUTION:A reversible thermal discoloring compsn. is obtained from a compatible material containing three components of an electron donating color forming org. compd. (a) selected from pyridine, a quinazoline type compd. and a bisquinazoline type compd, a compd (b) being electron-acceptive with respect to the electron donating color forming org. compd. and a compd. (c) being a reactive medium reversibly generating electron giving and receiving reaction due to the compds. (a), (b) within a specific temp. region as essential components. |
