PURPOSE:To enable a user to perform copying and the like without removing a sheet of recording paper on a staple tray by discharging the recording paper on a paper discharge tray when a detection means detects the recording paper at a detection timing of forgetting taking-out. CONSTITUTION:A CPU judges whether there are sheets of recording paper on a stapler tray unit 51 or not based on signals detected by a paper-remaindes sensor 39 and judges whether a discharge signal is set to '1' or not if there are the sheets of recording paper on the tray unit 51. A copying machine outputs the discharge signal = '1' when a print key or a staple key in an operation section is ON or when a document is set on a platen of RDF. The CPU resets the discharge signal in the case of the discharge signal = '1' and controls a discharge belt 10 to discharge recording paper on a discharge tray 12. On the other hand, in the case of discharge signal ='0', it discharges recording paper on the stapler tray unit 51 when the sensor detects that paper is being provided while the condition in which an image forming system is not operated continues for a predetermined period of time. |
