PURPOSE:To make the restoration from such an abnormal state that the restoration work from a state getting into an abnormal state is complicated and hard to understand from the aspect of the mechanism of a printer or the operation method of maintenance or the like easy to understand in a printer. CONSTITUTION:A printer is equipped with a display control part controlling a display part 3 displaying the state or message of the printer, a speaker 8 reproducing a sound and an image file 9 converting image data or sound data to an electric signal to record the same. When the printer gets into an abnormal state, the abnormal state or the restoration method of the abnormal state is displayed on a display part 3. Display content is displayed on the display part 3 as a dynamic image recording the content of the abnormal state and operation restoring the abnormal state practically. When there is a sound, the sound is reproduced from the speaker 8. An operator can restore the abnormal state while looks the image and it is unnecessary to look a manual or an explanatory one by one. |
