MOUNTING METHOD FOR AIR BAG FOR PASSENGER SEAT

PURPOSE:To improve the degree of freedom of specifications for a mounting method by a method wherein at least one of a cloth for an air bag and a reinforcing cloth is analyzed in the vicinity of the folded part of a double part. CONSTITUTION:A retainer mounting part 4 comprises the tip part of a body cloth 1; and the tip part of a side cloth 2 and the cloths 1 and for an air bag are folded in the vicinity of an opening part 3 to form a double part 6. Meanwhile, reinforcing cloths 7 are overlapped with the two surfaces on the outer side of the double part 6 to form a retainer mounting part 4. The retainer part 4 is further bent in a U-shape and securely nipped between a retainer 5 attached to the inner side of the retainer and an air bag case 8. The reinforcing cloth 7 is parted at the folded part 6a of the double part 6. The cloth 7b on the retainer 5 side of the reinforcing cloth 7 is formed of an ordinary non- coated cloth as against a rubber-coated cloth on the air bag case 8 side.
