<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject buffer solution, capable of smoothly advancing an enzymic reactional system and used for measuring the freshness of fishes and shellfishes, etc., by comprising phosphate ions within a specific concentration range in a buffer solution having a specific effective hydrogen ion concentration. CONSTITUTION:This buffer solution for a freshness sensor is obtained by dissolving tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane in distilled water, add 0.1 N hydrochloric acid in small portions thereto, regulate the solution to a desired hydrogen ion concentration, then regulate the hydrogen ion concentration using a 0.1mol/l phosphoric acid buffer solution prepared by dissolving potassium dihydrogenphosphate and disodium hydrogenphosphate in distilled water, regulate the effective hydrogen ion concentration to 6.9-9.1, set the phosphate ions within the range of 0.5 to 5.0mmol/l and thereby make the buffer solution usable in a reactional system in which promoted and inhibited reactions coexist by the presence of the phosphate ions. The resultant buffer solution is used for measuring the freshness of fishes and shellfishes, etc.</p> |
