PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized beam scanning device excellent in optical characteristics. CONSTITUTION:In a beam scanning device formed of a collimator lens 2 for shaping the beam from a light source, a cylindrical lens 6 for forming a linear image on the reflecting surface of a deflector 3, the deflector 3 rotated and driven at high speed, and an imaging lens 4 for imaging the beam from the deflector 3 onto a surface to be scanned, the imaging lens 4 for correcting the face fall of the beam from the deflector 3 and the imaging of the beam is formed of a single lens having a toric surface, which has a double convex lens form in a section vertical to the deflector including the optical axis, and also has positive refracting power. |
