PURPOSE:To provide a method for evaluating the imidization rate of liquid crystal oriented films capable of easily measuring the imidization rate of the oriented films formed in actual constitution. CONSTITUTION:The surfaces of the oriented films 3, 4 formed on transparent electrodes 2, 8 are irradiated with UV rays while scanning from the side where excitation energy is low to the side where this energy is high. The photoelectrons released by a photoelectron effect are detected and the excitation energy at which the photoelectron discharge starts is measured. The imidization rate of the oriented films 3, 4 is measured in accordance with this excitation energy. |
