<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate various restrictions by a system bus, physically reduce a constituent means, and speed up processing by rewriting address field values, line by line, multiplexing them into one link, and performing multilink processing and exchanging data among layers. CONSTITUTION:Frame data from a line has address field values rewritten by a rewriting device 110 corresponding to the line and after the data are multiplexed by a frame multiplexing and demultiplexing device 120 together with frames of other lines, they are outputted to a next-stage multilink layer-2 protocol processor 130. The processor 130 performs layer-2 protocol processing by in-frame address field values, and terminates and stores a frame as a packet in a data memory 140. A CPU 160 executes programs for layer-3 protocol processing and system control stored in a program memory 150 to complete reception processing.</p> |
