PURPOSE:To provide a method and an apparatus for controlling phase shift which is free from the influence of waveform distortion of power supply and frequency variation. CONSTITUTION:A phase lag phi generated by a filter circuit 16 for eliminating distortion of a synchronous voltage signal is created by a phase compensating signal generating circuit 12, the phase lag phi is subtracted, by means of an adder 17, as a bias value from a firing angle command value alpha of a semiconductor power control element of the power converter outputted depending on a command from a controller as the host apparatus of a current control circuit 11 and the value psi (=alpha-phi is given as an actual firing angle command value to a pulse phase shifting circuit 15 which generates an ignition pulse. |
