PURPOSE:To surely set a gate for objective reflected waves. CONSTITUTION:Ultrasonic vibrators 21, 25 for physical-property-value measurement, an acoustic lens 20 in which a concave-lens face 20b and a flat face 20c are formed at a common end part in which ultrasonic waves generated by the ultrasonic vibrator 21 for physical property value measurement are converged by the concave-lens face 20b, which radiates the ultrasonic waves toward a sample, an ultrasonic vibrator 35, for gate setting, which is formed on the flat face 20c foe the acoustic lens 20, which radiates ultrasonic waves toward the sample and which receives directly reflected waves obtained so as to be reflected directly at its surface and a gate setting means which sets a gate at the recived signal of the ultrasonic vibrator 25 for physical-property value measurement after a prescribed time since the directly reflected waves of the sample have been received by the ultrasonic vibrator 35 for gate setting are installed. |
