PURPOSE:To normally record an image in a state where the changing action of a picture element density is stabilized by outputting a busy signal to a controller so as not to record the image even if printing is requested during change in the picture element density and transmitting a ready signal to the controller after the completion of a picture element density changing action, so as to record the image. CONSTITUTION:The busy signal is transmitted to the controller 28 from an optical system control circuit 31 not to record the image even if the printing is requested from the controller 28 during the picture element density changing action. In the optical system control circuit 31, when the rotational speed of a polygon motor 20 and the picture element clock of an LD 16 attain values corresponding to the change in the picture element density by a motor driver 32 and an LD driver 33 respectively, the ready signal is transmitted to the controller 28, and the recording of the image becomes possible and the image is recorded with the changed density of the picture element. In other words, the image is not recorded during the picture element density changing action, so that abnormal image recording is never performed. |
