PURPOSE:To provide a method of manufacturing a reactor for switching circuit which can prevent effectively the generation of a current spike and ringing which cause the generation of noise. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous magnetic alloy ribbon, which is made on the basis of a general formula of CoaMbMcYd (Provided that, in the formula, the M shows one kind of an element selected from between Fe and Mn, the M' shows one kind of an element or more than two kinds of elements selected from among Fe and transition metals other than the Mn, the Y shows one kind of an element or more than two kinds of elements selected from among Si, B, P and C and the (a), the (b), the (c) and the (d) are respectively an atomic % to satisfactory the undermentioned formulas. a+b+c+d=100, 50<=a<=80, 0<=b<=10 and 0<=c<=10), is wound or is laminated to form into a toroidal core, a core having characteristics of B1>=6kG, a coercive force (Hc) <=0.5 (Oe) and a squareness ratio (Br/B1)>=0.8 in a frequency of 100kHz is manufactured by heat-treating the toroidal core and a reactor is constituted by combining the above core with a conductor and is inserted in a semiconductor element in series without arranging a control circuit for controlling the core. |
