<p>PURPOSE:To provide a data bank device capable of retrieving a specific item in data consisting of plural items. CONSTITUTION:Telephone book data consisting of plural item data such as company names, personal names, telephone numbers, and addresses are stored in a telephone book RAM so that each item is distinguished by a different symbol, and at the time of inputting (step S1) item data KEY for retrieving the item data and a symbol SYMBOL for specifying plural symbols, retrieving order and a retrieving method are determined (step S2) and an initial symbol is set up (step S3). Whe the symbol is 'NULL', mixed retrieval is executed (steps S4, S5), and in a case other than 'NULL', symbol retrieval is executed (steps S4, S6). Symbols are successively substituted until a final symbol and mixed retrieval or symbol retrieval is executed (steps S7, A8, 54 to S6).</p> |
