PURPOSE:To widen the resistance value ranges of an electrifying member and a transfer member without damaging image quality and to attain a high productivity and reduction in cost of a contact electrifying member and a contact transfer member while maintaining a high grade image, in an image forming device using a contact electrifying means as the electrification processing means of an electrostatic latent image carrier or a contact transfer means as a transfer means for a visible image by a developer from the electrostatic latent image carrier to a transfer material. CONSTITUTION:In the system that contact electrification or a contact transfer is applied to a reversal developing system 16 sticking the developer to a part to be exposed VL on the electrostatic latent image carrier 2 electrified up to a dark potential Vd, a voltage generating menas 8 alternately generating the first and second voltages V1 and V2 of VdX(Vd-V1)>0, VLX(VL-V2)<=0 between a developer carrier 5 and the electrostatic latent image carrier 2 is provided and the first and second voltages V1 and V2 are alternately applied to the developer carrier 5. |
