PURPOSE:To provide the polyethylene naphthalate film useful for the film base of the photographic sensitive material superior in hue, transparency, and anticurling tendency. CONSTITUTION:The film base is made of the polyethylene naphthalate comprising naphthalenedicarboxylic acid as a main acid component and ethylene glycol as a main glycol component and having a film haze of <=0.2% and a 400nm wavelength light transparency (T400) of >=95% in 10mg/ml of a 2:3 solvent mixture of hexafluoroisopropanol and chloroform, and the difference (DELTAT) delta between the transparency (T400) and that of 420nm wavelength light (T420) of <=3%/cm and an intrinsic viscosity of >=0.5dl/g. |
