<p>PURPOSE:To obtain such a tubular through capacitor and varistor that their electric characteristics do not change even they are exposed to fluxes at the time of soldering, their moisture resistances are excellent, their sintered ceramic tubes do not change in quality, and the end faces of their ceramic tubes are hardly cracked and chipped during machining. CONSTITUTION:Insulating films 14 are formed on both end faces of a sintered ceramic tube 10 and an external electrode 12 and internal electrode 13 composed of conductive films 11 are respectively formed on the external and internal surfaces of the tube 10. Either one of or both of the end sections on the the external and internal surfaces of the tube 10 next to the end faces of the tube 10 are coated with the insulating films 14 and, in addition, the surfaces of the films 14 are coated with the conductive films 11. Tubular electronic components 20 are manufacture by manufacturing the tube by baking a molded tubular ceramic body and forming the insulating films 14 on both end faces of the tube 10 and the films 11 on the entire surfaces of the tube 10, and then, exposing the films 14 on both end faces of the tube 10 by removing the films 11 from both end faces.</p> |
