MAGNETIC TONER AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality images by constituting an electrostatic latent image holding body of a specified org. photosensitive body and constituting a magnetic toner of at least a binder resin, magnetic material and specified external additives. CONSTITUTION:This toner is used for an electrophotographic method including the following developing process. After an electrostatic image is formed, a magnetic toner is magnetically attracted to the surface of an electrostatic image holding body disposed in a toner hopper 106 to deposit the magnetic toner on the surface of the electrostatic latent image holding body. The latent image holding body is moved to face an toner recovering electrode roller 108. The toner in the image part of the latent image holding body is left while the toner out of the image part is collected by the toner recovering electrode roller 108. The electrostatic latent image holding body consists of an org. photosensitive body the surface layer of which contains at least an org. photoconductive material and a polycarbonate resin. The magnetic toner consists of at least a binder resin, magnetic material and external additives. The external additives consist of hydrophobic silicon dioxide fine particles which are subjected to surface treatment with a treating agent expressed by formula I and fine particles expressed by formula II.
