摘要

PURPOSE:To reduce the circuit scale of a buffer memory by transmitting code data in the order of the code data in the oldest field at all times sequentially so as to eliminate the concentration of distortion onto only one channel thereby minimizing the number of margin fields. CONSTITUTION:The coding of plural applied picture signals and the allocation of an object code quantity are similar to those of a conventional multiplexer. Each generated code quantity storage circuit 14 of each channel provided newly outputs sets of data t0, g0, b0 of the oldest field stored in a temporary storage memory 20 to a channel selection circuit 15. The circuit 15 compares time numbers t0 in data of one set each obtained from the temporary storage memory 20 of the generated code quantity storage circuit 14 of each channel and selects a channel number having the oldest number t0. Then the selected channel number is outputted to a transfer code quantity calculation circuit 16 and the code quantity g0 of the corresponding field stored in the memory 20 of the circuit 14 is compared with a predetermined code quantity and the smaller code quantity is selected.
