A pallet made of plastic consists of a top or middle part fitted with a network of stiffening ribs (14,15) and pads (4,5,6,7,8) made with an assembly of vertical walls and hollow length members (9,10,11) made by extrusion that are joined by welding or gluing to the bottom of a series of aligned pads, parallel to the long side of the pallet. The stiffening ribs are joined together and to the vertical walls of the pads. Certain of the profile corners are chamfered to facilitate the introduction of the forks of a lift truck. The pallet is made using glass fibre reinforced plastic and /-1 of the cavities of the length members is reinforced with a metal profile or wooden baton.
