PURPOSE:To provide a dielectric resonator which is miniaturized and has the reduced loss and a higher harmonic suppression characteristic and is easily coupled to an external circuit. CONSTITUTION:A groove is formed on the surface of a block 11, and an inner conductor 12 obtained by metallizing the inside surface of this groove, an outer conductor 13 obtained by metallizing the outside surface parallel with the direction of the groove forming the inner conductor 12, and a short-circuit conductor 14 which connects the outer conductor 13 and the inner conductor 12 are provided. The width of the groove forming the inner conductor 12 is changed to partially change the characteristic impedance of a resonance element, and thereby, the higher-order resonance frequency is shifted from odd-fold fundamenral resonance frequency to not only attain the higher harmonic suppression characteristic but also reduce the size and the loss of the resonator. |
