PURPOSE: To provide a supply circuit for avalanche diode by an arrangement wherein the output voltages from first and second voltage amplifiers are summed. CONSTITUTION: The supply circuit comprises a first temperature independent voltage source VS1, and a second temperature dependent voltage source VS2. The first temperature independent voltage source VS1 is connected to the input of a first voltage amplifier A1 having a constant output voltage and a controllable gain a1. The second temperature dependent voltage source VS2 is connected to the input of a second voltage amplifier A2 having a controllable gain a2 and an output voltage essentially equal to the mathematical product of a temperature measured at a measuring point and a constant. Output voltages from the first and second voltage amplifiers A1, A2 are summed.
