FM detectors integrated in chips must have external components like ceramic filters or LC circuits in order to attain a good signal-to-noise ratio or prevent thermal drift in the charge carriers. The aim of the invention is to reduce the quantity of external components for setting the internal operating conditions of the FM detector. No external components are used at all; instead, a regulating or control circuit is made with the FM detector on the chip. The regulating circuit essentially consists of a current-controlled oscillator. FM detection in general, but especially for colour television and radio receivers. |
