PURPOSE:To obtain a chip type transformer, which has little irregularity in its characteristics even at a high frequency, is small-sized, can be manufactured at low cost and can be automatically packaged. CONSTITUTION:A chip type transformer main body 12 comprises two magnetic material substrates 14 and 30 and insulator sheets 16, 20, 24 and 28. Patterned electrodes 18, 22 and 26 having a ring-shaped part are respectively formed on the sheets 16, 20 and 24. End parts 18a and 18b of the electrode 18 and end parts 26a and 26b of the electrode 26 are respectively led out on the same sides as the sides of the sheets 16 and 24. Both ends 22a and 22b of the electrode 22 are led out in the opposite direction to the end parts of the other patterned electrodes. The substrates 14 and 30 and the sheets 16, 20, 24 and 28 are laminated and an external electrode connected with the patterned electrodes is formed. The end parts 18b and 26a of the patterned electrodes 18 and 24 are connected with each other through the external electrode. |
