PURPOSE:To provide a device and a user interface which enable important items in a conference to easily be edited in a short time for a conference system which uses multimedia information of a television conference, etc. CONSTITUTION:In the conference system which uses the multimedia information of the television conference, etc., a file 3 for retrieval is generated by extracting key words from the multimedia information inputted from a moving picture input device 6 such as a camera, a voice input device 7 such as a microphone, a pen input device 8, a pointing device 9 such as a mouse, and a key input device 10 such as a keyboard. And, the conference minutes generation assisting device and user interface which enable the conference minutes to easily be edited in a short time by referring to the file 3 for retrieval, and retrieval and editing scenes of important items at the time of conference minutes generation are provided.
