PURPOSE:To provide a manufacturing method for a color filter by which smoothness of a filter layer surface can be greatly improve and liquid crystal can be stably driven without causing any breakage of liquid crystal driving electrode and the like. CONSTITUTION:A red transparent coloring layer 2R, a green transparent coloring layer 2G, and a blue transparent coloring layer 2B are respectively formed in order on a transparent base board 1 such as a glass base board so that part of them overlap each other in light shielding parts, and a transparent resin layer 3 is selectively formed on the transparent coloring layers in picture element parts so that the light shielding parts, in which the transparent coloring layers overlap each other, and the picture element parts are formed into the approximately same level, and then, an ITO thin film and the like is formed on the whole surface of the surface, so that a transparent electrode 4 is formed. |
