The circuit comprises a detector which consists of a diode (10), a rectifier (102), and A/D converter (106) and detects a reflected wave signal from a transmitted power signal or a received power signal, a matching controller which generates a PWM signal to tune a matching state of antenna according to amount of the input reflected signal, and an antenna matching section which consists of a varactor diode (110) and an inductor (108) and tunes a matching state by varying a capacitance value. The method comprises a process for detecting the reflected wave from a transmitted signal or a received signal, and a tuning process for measuring the detected reflected wave to generate a PWM signal corresponding to the reflected wave and tune optimum matching state of antenna.
