A weighing machine comprises a first set of parallel guide links (3, 4), which connect a load receptacle (2) to a region (5) fixed relative to the machine housing and which are resiliently deformable under the influence of a weight acting on the receptacle, and second, softer parallel guide links (8) connected at one end to the load receptacle (2) and at the other end (11) by way of a substantially travel-free force pick-up with the region (5) and which thereby transmit a fraction of the weight force to the pickup. The pickup may operate by electromagnetic force compensation. The two sets of parallel guide links have substantially the same height and length and are arranged closely beside each other, possibly produced from a single block of material.
