Method for reduction of condensate formation in central heating boilers

The method for condensate reduction involves a boiler with a burner and heat exchanger against which the combustion gasses act and through which the heating water is pumped. A surface temperature above dew point is achieved on zones of the heat exchanger away from the burner, by setting the water flow speed to a low value. The temperature is controlled dependant upon boiler water temperature, feed temperature, return temperature, or the surface temperature of the heat exchanger. When water or surface temperatures are low, a smaller speed is set than when the temperature is at a lower level. The pump RPM is controlled or regulated, to adjust the water flow speed. Different pumps are used for higher or lower speeds.
