PURPOSE:To always maintain a stable amount of toner which is applied to the surface of a developing sleeve, without deforming the surface of the developing sleeve even when copying is carried out for a long period of time, on 1,000,000 copies, with fine particle toner smaller than or equal to 6mum, and to obtain a satisfactory image. CONSTITUTION:A toner supply roller 6 is provided on the upstream side from a magnetic blade 5 in the direction of the rotation of the developing sleeve 3 so as to rotate in contact with the developing sleeve 3 with a low pressure. Also, the surface of the toner supply roller is made of a closed-cell foam body, and, further, the surface of the developing sleeve 3 is a false mirror surface. |
