The protective case has the chip card surrounded by a flat rectangular case. It is characterised by a section of the case being electrically conducting. The remaining section of the case is non-conducting. The non-conducting section delimits the area of the chip card containing the internal antenna. It limits the range of communication with other devices. By limiting antenna access, unauthorised communication with the chip card is prevented.
