The vehicle bonnet comprises a grille mesh (55) which covers at least parts of the right and left side walls (52b). The mesh is secured to the bonnet grille by a fastening arrangement (31,32) in order to create spaces between the mesh and the right and left side walls, such that the spaces communicate with the suction openings (52c). The right and left walls have curved regions which are curved at right angles to the leading wall. The mesh has end regions correspondingly curved in relation to the side walls, such that the opposite end regions can be secured to the side walls by the fasteners.
