Toothed drive transmission belt

The toothed drive transmission belt (10) has a non-woven material (34) on the inner side (14) of the belt body, in several of the recesses (20). In each case, it passes continuously from the recess into the drive force transmission zone (28) of a tooth (18) of the belt structure. Also claimed is a mfg. process for the toothed belting, using a casting mould with alternating projections and recesses, to shape the teeth (18) and recesses in the toothed belt (10). A non-woven material (34) of the separate fibres, with a load-bearing cord (22) wound round it, are laid on the moulding surface of the inner mould between it and the outer mould. The mould is filled with the fluidised matrix material, so that the separate fibres separate from the non-woven. The poured material then sets.
