PURPOSE:To provide the video camera in which focusing is facilitated and a function is stably selected by a sight. CONSTITUTION:The video camera is provided with an automatic focus function by which an object whose image is formed in a focus area on a finder screen 2 is automatically focused, a sight detection means 6 detecting a sight position of a photographer with respect to the finer screen 2 and obtaining a representative sight position based on plural detected sight positions, and a system control means (control means) 8 setting a focus area or an AF frame representing an outline of the focus area on the finder screen in an area around the sight position in tracing with the representative sight position obtained by the sight detection means 6. Since the representative sight is obtained from plural sight positions, various control by the stable sight is attained even when more or less the sight is fluctuated. |
